Q With reference to any difficulty that you encountered in and about Lockhart canyon with that boat, was the situation any different down there than what you have described further up the river? A Well, generally no difference in the river bed. Certain stretched of the way up and down the river that are always more or lose troublesome, that in, they offer delays. I don't think the Lockhart district is any more troublesome than any of the upper portion with which I am familiar. Q Was this trip in 1927 that you went down to Lockhart the same trip that Mr. Yundt was or? A The same one. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Were both of you on the boat? A Both of us were on the barge; didn't make the entire trip in the barge; we were repairing the little boat on the way down; when we got it repaired and called, we stuck it in the water and went on ahead with the little motor.
