Show 4807 Gentry- C 2821 MR. FARNSWORTH: I would like to have the witness more definite. You brought him here as a man who known that country and have been asking him to tell about it. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Would it or would it not be, in your opinion, thousand of acres? A Thousands of acres is quite a lot of land. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q There are six hundred and forty acres in a section? A Yes sir. Q That is just one mile square? A That is just one mile square. Q Your best judgment is that this area extends in length for eight or ten miles up from Greenriver? A Yes sir, the rolling country. Q And it would be a width of some miles anyway, wouldn't it? A As I recall, it would, to the west. Q And also some to the east? A As I recall the country, it is not so very wide to the east, you get into hills and broken country. Q There is also a large area of excellent land on the river south of Greenriver, isn't there? A Yes sir. I have never been south of the town of Greenriver; just going through the country I have seen it from the railroad, you might say. |
