Show 4613 Weber- D 2627 Q Did you ever see any of the other men take boats up stream? A Yes sir. Q How did they do it? A Well, I wouldn't know how they got along on the way up; I see them leave the placer mine; I know they went up after supplies, and they came back with them, and I see them start out from the camp, but I wasn't with them; I don't know how they got up. Q Did you make any trips yourself in the boats? A No sir. Q During the three years you were in there did you see any supplies which were brought in on the river either from below at Lees Ferry or from above at Greenriver, Utah? A No sir. Q From what point did you get your supplies? A They got supplies form Greenriver and through Rich-field sources and on down to the Dandy Crossing, either through Crescent creek or else down through Trachyte creek, and landed them on the river. Q Were those supplies brought in overland? A Overland to the river. Q And then put on these skiffs and brought down to the camp? A Yes. |
