Show 4750 Yundt- D 2764 surveyed? A That was simply open land there, without many ledges in it; we could run our lines over. Q What was the character of that land? A It was a rather sandy country, good deal of exposed sand rock, small ledged, no large ones. Q Approximately what length of time did you put in down there? A I think around three weeks or possibly four weeks; I am not sure as to that. Q During the time you were in there was your party resupplied? A I believe -- I am not certain as to that -- I think we had one pack load come from the main camp in the Henry mountains. Q Can you give me the months of the year that you were in there? A I could not; it has slipped my mind when that was; it was in the fall of the year. Q During the time you were in around Hite making that survey, did you any boats on the Colorado river? A There is one boat that I recall at Hite belonging to Humphreys, a small row boat. MR. FARNSWORTH: He has not fixed the year yet, has he? MR. BLACKMAR: 1923. |
