A The supplies to those camps were brought to the main camp that was maintained on Lime creek, by wagon from Bluff, Utah, and from this main camp to the survey camp the supplies were brought by pack animals. Q In Lime creek how were the supplies taken in? A From Bluff, Utah, by wagons. Q Did you ever attempt to operate a boat on the San Juan river? A Not on the San Juan river. Q Do you know whether or not your party had any boats in there? A There was no boats in there with the party. Q What months of the year were you there during 1909? A I was in the San Juan country from November, 1908, when I first went in there, and I left in April, 1909; I was on the San Juan river at the Honaker trail probably during January, 1909. Q Was there any placer mining going on in there while you were there? A No. Q Did you see any boats or any kind go either up or down |
