Show 4721 Moore- D 2735 A I don't believe I can answer that question. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Now, in talking your supplies over, did you pack them over on your horses, at times? MR. FARSWORTH: I submit this witness, who was in charge of the party, ought to be able to tell what happened in response to a question as to what they did. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q How did you get your supplies over? You took them over in a boat twice, you said? A With pack animals. MR. BLACKMAR: There you are. There is not anything hysterical about that. MR. FARSWORTH: It is so much lovelier to have him tell it than to have you tell it. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q While you were on the San Juan river did you ever observe any of the sand waves? A Yes sir. Q Just tell us about those, please. A There was times when the waves would come down the river, and it is my recollection of them they would come up the river, and then smooth out, my recollection of them. We never attempted to cross the river, if we could help it, when those waves were running. |
