Show 4649 Kirkpatrick- D 2663 transported them by pack animals. Q Were you on the Green river in 1930? A I was. Q For when length of time? A Probably a week. Q What portion of the Green river? A Well, I traveled from Greenriver, Utah, up the river about forty miles to McPherson's ranch. Q Do you recall which side of the river your party was operating on? A Operating on the east side. Q What kind of country is it or was it in 1920, between Greenriver, Utah, and McPherson's ranch? A Well, for possibly six or eight miles it is an agricultural country on the west side of the river, and was an agricultural country on the east, but they have sort of abandoned the project in there Q Do you know why? A No, I don't; it was just one of those projects that wasn't feasible; cost of pumping, probably. MR. FARNSWORTH: We move to strike that out. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I think he said he didn't know. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Did you see any evidences of that section on the east side having been irrigated at one time? A Yes. |
