A We traveled on the north side as far as the Goodrich bridge, and crossed the San Juan there, then traveled on the south side. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Did you go down into the San Juan canyon on that trip? A No, I did not. Q Were you there again in 1926? A I was. Q How far did you travel that time, and by what means? A Well, we traveled by automobile and truck to a point near the mouth of Nokai canyon; that is about, I should judge, seventeen to twenty miles beyond Moonlight. Q The character of the country similar to that you have just described? A It is a little rougher down there, more broken. Q On that trip did you go down to the San Juan river? |
