Show 4812 Kirkpatrick- C 2826 MR. FARNSWORTH: what witness who has appeared here -- MR. BLACKMAR: I don't think anybody out here. But I will say to you, when we get to Washington we will furnish you with the information. I think it is all there. MR. FARNSWORTH: We don't care particularly about it. The matter of those reservations is in - just as well have the record show where they begin and where they and. MR. BLACKMAR: We can not give it here, but we can there, and will give it to you. MR. FARNSWORTH: Of course, the local Land Office records would show it. That is all with this witness. FURTHER EXAMINATION BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Were those land surveys of the meandering of the Colorado river and of the San Juan river made in connection with oil locations? A The surveys made south of the San Juan river and west of the 110th meridian, the west boundary of the Navajo reservation, were made under a law which authorized the expenditure of a certain amount of money above the regular survey fund for the survey of land in which they might find oil, to encourage oil development. |
