Show 4805 Gentry- C 2819 CROSS EXAMINATION BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Just one question, Mr. Gentry. I didn't understand, and I don't think the question was very definite- when it was put to you, with reference to the character of land above Greenriver somewhere. Counsel asked you a general question about the character of land, and in answer to the question you said that you saw no land that could be farmed. I take it you were not referring to the land in the immediate vicinity of the town of Greenriver, were you? A No sir. Q Do you know where the dam now is? A No sir. Q You do know, do you not, Mr. Gentry, that for several miles above the town of Greenriver there is very fine fruit land? A I don't recall just how far the land is being cultivated above the town of Greenriver. I know for a distance of about eight, maybe ten miles, the country is fairly open and rolling. Q And readily susceptible to producing crops if water is put on it? A I couldn't say as to that. Q It would be your judgment from what you saw of that |
