A Well, where we crossed the river we didn't do any sounding, the water was fairly deep; we picked our place where the water was fairly calm and deep, and we had no difficulty in crossing. Q Is the Green river a clear stream up there? A No sir; it is muddy. Q that is when you went up to McPherson's? A No, this was above McPherson's ranch. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Do you know how the people of Jensen get their supplies in? THE SPECIAL MASTER: I think we are pretty far up when we get to Jensen, Mr. Blackmar, -- one hundred miles beyond the locus. Now, I don't think that is relevant. MR. BLACKMAR: I just want to ask him this one question, if he knows. A Yes sir. The people at Jensen get their supplies by truck from Price, Utah, mostly. Q You have heard these other witnesses testify to the character of the land in the San Juan country? A Yes sir. Q Does that meet with your recollection of the situation |
