Show 4664 Kirkpatrick- D 2678 A I was. Q And for what purpose was that trip? A Supervision of surveys, visiting the parties. Q Did you go on the river yourself? A I did. Q In what kind of boat? A I went down from Moab to the No. 1 well, about eighteen miles, in this black boat; then I went from that point down to No. 2 well, probably eight miles further, in a sixteen foot row boat, with an out- board motor. Q Who operated the boat? A The black boat belonging to the Moab Garage Company was operated by Clarence Baldwin, and the boat that I used from No. 1 well go No. 2 was operated by Mr. Swanholm. Q While you were in the black boat did you encounter any difficulties in your trip down the river? A Just striking these bars and being held up for a few minutes. Q Necessary to get out at any time? A No. Q Have any difficulty in the operating of the boat with the out- board motor? A No I don't think we used that out- board motor down on that trip. I think I am a little confused on those trips.
