WEBER was thereupon recalled to the witness stand, and having been heretofore duly sworn herein, further testified as follows: FURTHER EXAMINATION BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q You have been living at Hanksville since 1896, have you? A Yes sir. Q How large a place was Hanksville when you went there? A I am sorry to tell it, there was a population of about one hundred and twenty- five, one hundred hundred and fifty people there when I got in, and it is rather decreasing instead of increasing since. Q How many are there there now? A Oh, probably one hundred. Q Where do the roads from Hanksville lead other than the road to Greenriver? A Hanksville is termed sort of a junction, your Honor; you come in from the rest and you come in from the north and all of it has got to go through Hanksville to go to the south and to the east; there is no other way out. Q Where does the road to the north lead to? A To Greenriver. Q Any other place: Is there any other road to the norht? |
