Show Inside Out, 49 Notebook for Or. Scofield So many people walk around acting like everything is perfect. Is it? For some people? I'm just curious. I used to think our family was pretty good, too. Is there such a thing as a family that stays beautiful and happy forever? Or is everyone just deceiving themselves, waiting for the shoe to drop or whatever is going to happen? There are people around me who seem to be happy and have easy lives. Are they just lucky, or are they stupid and naive? What do you think, Or. Scofield? At church they say that "opposition" is important, that we all have to have some hard stuff in order to grow. But then they say that living right makes people happy Seems pretty contradictory to me. Are they all just fooling themselves, and trying to fool me, too? I'm so sick of hypocrites. I guess that's why I'm hanging with these other kids now. I like that they don't pretend, don't have to smile and say things are great. I like their rawness. I'm not sure I'm one of them, though. Is there a place in the middle? |
