Show Inside Out, 230 Chapter 43: Andli I dreamed I was trying to talk to my mother. She was ahead of me on a path, and I was talking to her back. I wanted her to turn around to talk to me, but she wouldn't. She just kept walking. I couldn't tell if she was listening to me or not. Finally, I reached out my hand to touch her shoulder. Just as I reached her I awoke to Leslie shaking my own shoulder. "Andli! Do you want to come with me or not? It's time!" Shopping on the day after Thanksgiving is like participating in some kind of surreal tribal ritual. It's crazy what people do to get a good deal on things. Leslie had this whole strategy worked out where she would run to one end of the store to get Paul a Ripstick and I would run to the other end to get a Wii. In the end, I got the Wii, but the Ripsticks were gone before Leslie could fight her way through the crowds. It was actually pretty fun, considering that it was 4:00 in the morning. We finished off the quest with breakfast at IHOP. Leslie shyly suggested we swing over to Dillards for some clothes for me, but I convinced her that I couldn't possibly try stuff on without having a shower. I came home and showered and took a nap. Then I headed to the library. He had written the e-mail late last night. From: Joseph <desertsageJoseph@yahoo.com> To: Andli <Charcoalchic@yahoo.com> Andli, |
