Show Inside Out, 166 J: there are lots of missionaries here, just like where you are- J: from all different religions, still trying to convince people. J: Because the answers aren't obvious. There's still room for faith and choice, even here. Me: Bummer. I was hoping for the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything. J: Ifs 42. Me: I always thought something was fundamentally wrong with the universe © . I did several more drawings and even began an oil painting in art class. It was nice not to have to worry about writing poetry anymore. On Sunday, the day before the book reports were due, Denver called again. "I'm loving the book, Andli," he said. "You mean you aren't done?" I asked. "It's due tomorrow." "Yeah, I know." "So how far are you?" "Oh, halfway or so." "It's not that long, Denver. You could finish it tonight." He sighed heavily. "I'd have to spend an hour writing up the report, and Tve got all that math to do, too. Andli, just tell me how it ends. I'll read the rest of it tomorrow, so it won't be like I cheated, fll just be borrowing your brain for one day. Just tell me how it ends." I froze. I was not a cheater.
