Show Inside Out, 64 And again my heart flipped. My in-box contained one e-mail. The "From" field said, "Joseph." From: Joseph <desertsageJoseph@yahoo.com> To: Andli <Charcoalchic@vahoo.com> Andli, You've been trying to IM me but I haven't had a chance to answer. Because while you're here at the library I have to use the time to search your computer for information that will help me find your mother. I'm determined to find her. I have to hurry so I can get this typed and sent before you leave. I found out that you go to Granite High. That was my high school. In fact, my sister goes there now. I'm wondering if you could do a favor for me. I've been worried about her. I think she's still really struggling with everything and might need some help. She's starting to hang around with the wrong type of kids, and she won't talk to my mom and dad. Please, could you check on her, maybe talk to her? Probably you guys aren't friends but you're the same age and most likely have at least one class together. Please, Andli, this is important i would do it for you. And to prove it I will find your mom, and bring her here to talk to you. it may take a while, though. Be patient But please help me out with my sister. Her name is Terra Gates. Thank you. -Joseph Terra Gates??? Joseph was Terra Gates's brother??? I was still staring at the computer in shock when Leslie called up the stairs that it was time to be at the bus-stop. I frantically threw my things together and missed breakfast in order to catch the bus. For once the bus ride was too short. Terra Gates? I just couldn't wrap my mind around this. I kept coming back to the same questions. Was Joseph really dead, or was t this a prank? I had believed he was really dead. But Terra's brother? It was just too weird. Why, though? Why couldn't he be Terra's brother? He had to be someone's brother, someone's son. Why was it so unbelievable that I happened to know his sister? |
