My time wi_th you, just a mere two years, has J been so ennchmg for me personally as well as Ii! professionally. I will keep you posted as to my I whereabouts m Texas, so we can stay in touch. with affection, Ann DOCENT OUTING • Our annual Spring outing will be held on May 21. This year we are sticking close to home by doing our own "Gallery Stroll" and exploring the art available in our own backyard. A bus will "ferry" us in style to each gallery while a box lunch will provide us with the energy to keep us going. @] It is with mixed feelings that I share with you my news about my upcoming move to Texas 1§1 sometime in late May or June. I will miss y'all but I am also excited about the move. My husband has accepted a call to be an associate @Pastor at Lamb of God Lutheran Church in !l1l Humble, Texas (Humble is a suburb of Houston). I I • I II I I II 1§1 The bus will meet us at 9: 15 a.m. in the Guardsman Lot across from the Tennis Center. You will need a Day Pass to park there. These can be purchased at the kiosk in the first aisle near the entrance. ; ~ Some of the galleries we will be visiting are: The King's Cottage Gallery where Susan Gallagher, one of the artists we met on our trip to Spring City, will give us a tour of what is currently on exhibit. The Arts of Utah Gallery offers contemporary artworks from both local and national artists. At the time of our visit a glass exhibit will be on display and we will be given a tour by one of their staff members. Phillips Gallery, where Bonnie Phillips will give a tour and where we will eat our box lunches. ; II !l1l @ ] . @ ] After lunch we will visit the Southam Gallery and one or two others. STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING Box Lunch: choice of chicken salad in pita bread, turkey or vegetarian. Please let us know what your choice is when you call to R.S.V.P. Our May meeting will be on the 5th at 9:30 a.m. Remember to park in the spots reserved for the Advisory Board. The security guard will have a list of your names. Total cost for transportation and lunch is $17. Please sign up on the sheet or call the education offic_e at 581-3580 no later than May 17th to R.S.V.P. Remember to give us your lunch choice . • • |
