Pablo Picasso's "Blue I'm still interested in VOLUNTEERS for the 3rd Saturdays and the big Artful Afternoon events. The point of these events is to provide family activities at the Museum. Most events should be on the small size, around 50 people, except for the December and July events (500-1000 people). The activities are based on current exhibited items (if it isn't in our Museum's collection or on display, we don't do it) and involve a simple art activity for families to participate in. The age appropriateness is above 4 years old! (But some 4 year olds could be helped by a family member.... ) Studies show that people, who visit the Museum with their families as a child, return as adults. Most adult attendees of Museum are people who've visited with their families, not school tours!! (I betcha' thought this statistic will change somewhat because Museums are now doing activities with school groups!!) The best part of these activities is that we get a chance to "tum on" a whole group of people to the Museum! Let me know if you can help!! AnnP.
