Show The Utah Museum of Fine Arts University of Utah • DOCENT MEETING March 1999 • Our monthly meeting will be on March 11 at 1:00 p.m. We have an extra special treat in store. Our guest speaker will be Ursula Pimentel, one of our Research Curators, and she will present "The Mystery of a Mother and Child: A Twopart Harmony." The first part will be an exploration of 14th century techniques by a master of the Sienese school as represented in a work that Ursula is currently researching. The second segment will be a discussion of copies versus forgeries. The focus will be a painting of Mother and Child, possibly dated to 1362, that was acquired by the Museum in 1994 and which Ursula has been researching for several months. It promises to be enlightening and provoking so don't miss it! • I I I Audrey Day, a docent at the Museum from 1983 to I I 1995, passed away on February 3rd. Her family has I I Our next Steering Committee meeting will be on March 3redat 9:30 a.m. Remember to park in the spots reserved for the Advisory Board. The security guard will have a list of your names. Since the Advisory Board is paying to reserve these spots, we have been asked to vacate the spaces as soon as our meeting is over so that they can use the spots for their meeting. I was not aware that they must pay for each spot they use; I thought it was a "blanket fee" to reserve all the meters, but it seems that only the number of stalls needed for each meeting is reserved. If you will be staying for a tour please park in our loading dock.
