Show of his appointment to the Advisory Committee of the National Fund for Medical Education, of which Herbert Hoover is honorary chairman. The purpose of this fund is to furnish finan- cial aid to medical colleges throughout the country. (see minutes May 14, 1951 meeting) The President felt certain the College of Medicine here would be a recipient of funds from this source during the coming year. A report was made by President Olpin concerning a very laudatory offer which has come to Dr. C. Lowell Lees from the Childrens Theatre in Omaha to play three performances of one of our Young Peoples Theatre plays in Omaha on September 27, 28, 29. Offers have also come from Rawlins and Cheyenne, Wyoming. Participating students (University and grade School) will have to be excused from classes for one week - September 24-29. The party will travel by bus and chaperones will be provided. The Omaha engagement guarantees the University Theatre $1000. The President requested the Board's opinion on this matter. Regent Adam S. Bennion moved approval of the trip which was seconded by Regent Romney and carried.
