Show 610 LUNCHEON HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT MINUTES MEETINGS JAN 8 AND JAN 22 APPROVED Following luncheon at the Department of Home Economics, the Regents adjourned to the Board Room and the meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M. by Chairman Sill. The minutes of the regular monthly meeting held January 8 and the Executive Committee meeting of January 22 were approved on motion of Regent Romney seconded by Regent Evans and carried. The Chairman called for the President's report. PRESIDENT '8 RE PORT BUILDING PROGRAM RE QUEST FROM LEGISLATURE President Olpin reported that a reply had been received from the State Board of Examiners in relation to the Board's request for funds from the Building Reserve Fund for a classroom building, in which the Board of Examiners suggested that the Uni- versity take its request directly totheLegislature during its present session. Consequently, Dean Leary has prepared two bills (copies filed with these minutes) with the thought that both bills would be introduced but "only one would be passed depend- ing upon the source of the funds. ,‘Both‘ billsprovide for $1, 500, 000 for the construction of a classroom building and a scientific laboratory building.
