Show 3368 Nims- D 1393 want to make the statement that on file in the Public Library of the City of New York is a copy of Mr. Stanton's field notes. Those notes were copied by an agent of the Department of Justice, and I personally went to New York City and examined the diary and the field notes, and we have a copy of it here. is there objection to our offering that in evidence at this time? MR. FARNSWORTH: What is the date of that, Mr. Blackmar? MR. BLACKMAR: May 23, 1889. THE SPECIAL MASTER: That is the field notes of the survey on which this map is based? MR. BLACKMAR: Yes. MR. FARNSWORTH: Does this copy that you now offer begin at the beginning of the notes? MR. BLACKMAR: What was the date this expedition started? MR. COLLINS: May 25, 1889 MR. BLACKMAR: Doesn't that start when they loaded up from Denver? MR. FARNSWORTH: Saturday, May 25, 1889? THE WITNESS: That is the day we left Greenriver. MR.
