Show 3290 Dobbin- D 1315 A I am not absolutely sure of it now -- the location of that oil well that the Texas company drilled -- as I presume this is the road we followed, here ( indicating). I have a recollection of coming to French Seep; we came right along here; that would be about ten miles or twelve miles west of the junction; and then we went down over an escarpment, and walked east; I would say we walked east six or seven miles that day. MR. FARNSWORTH: I think the place the witness indicates is the closest place to the river he got after leaving Greenriver. MR. BLACKMAR: I don't know. I will ask him. Q How long did you stay in that company? A We entered that country about the first day of May, and stayed there until the first of October. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q What year? A 1926 BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q What about the vegetation in that country? A The vegetation, except on the divides between the major streams, was very sparse. Not being an agriculturalist, I can not give you the names of the different types of grasses, but in the eroded areas along the stream, major streams, there was practically no grass. |
