Q Are you familiar with the country in and about the confluence of the mouth of the Green river, where it flows into the Colorado? A I am. Q Just tell me the scope of your knowledge of that country. A From 1921 up until 1927 I was employed by the Midwest Refining Company in geological work, and the greater part of my work was in a corner adjacent to Four Corners, that is, the corner of Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. This necessarily took me on both sides of the Colorado and Green rivers, the area in between, and took me clear down into Arizona and parts of New Mexico. Q Have you personally been over that country that lies between Moab and the junction of the Colorado river -- A I have. Q With the Green, and on both sides of that river? A I have.
