Show 3323 Aurand- D 1348 Q Well, what do you mean, along the river? A No roads approached the river closer than ten to fifteen miles, on the east; there are several roads that start out at Moab towards the southeast, and branches turn off coming down on the divides between streams, so they come within fifteen miles of the Colorado river, but none go to the river. Q Have you ever been on either the Green or the Colorado or the San Juan river? A Yes sir. Q Which rivers have you been on? A All three; two in a boat; I have never been on the San Juan river in a boat; I have been along the entire course except the lower three or four miles. Q Starting at what point? A I have traversed in a boat from Moab in to the head of Cataract canyon. I have been in a boat from that point up the Green river to what I shall term miles post 34, and have been along the banks from mile post 34 to the town of Greenriver, itself. Parts of this same course I have been over several times. Q How many different times have you been on the Colorado river below Moab in a boat? A Five times. |
