Show 3298 Dobbin- D 1323 river? A Yes sir. Q Could anybody tell what year those rocks broke off? A I would doubt it very much. Q Unless rocks were worn away by the process of weather or something, couldn't tell when the rocks broke off, could you? A No sir. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q About how much of the river bed does that slide occupy? A Well, sir, I never measured it. Q All right. Then you proceeded on down to the Green river? A Yes sir. Q And what did you do when you got there? A We went up the river about a mile and a half, or thereabouts, and then turned around and came back, and camped at the slide over night. Q Did your mission extend beyond the mouth of the Green river? A You mean south or north? Q Beyond -- I mean, when you got to the Green river were you through? A Yes, for the time being, yes; that was as far as we wanted to go. Q Then you turned and came back up the stream in a boat? A Yes. |
