Q Do you remember a place on the river near the mouth of the Green river which is referred to as the slide? A Yes, we camped there one night, and climbed the cliff on the right bank of the river as far as we could go; we went up fifteen hundred feet. Q Are you able, as a geologist, to express any opinion as to the age of the slide? A Not geologically; I should say geologically it is a recent slide of debris, rocks, boulders, that have fallen from a nearby cliff and has been built up by other rocks that came down the river with the freshets and torrents.
