BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Which side of the river is the landing at Lee's Ferry? A It is on the north side, sir. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q That is on the right- hand side? A The right bank, yes. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Did you see the bridge? A The bridge is about five miles, I should say, below the ferry. We actually went out and looked at the bridge. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Colonel, for the record I wish you would give me the date that you returned to Moab after you had been on the river. A We returned on the 28th. Q Of August? A Of August. Q What did you do with your boat when you got to Lee's Ferry? A Turned it over to the Geological Survey gauge tender. Q Did you give him any instructions with reference to the boat? |
