Show 297 Heart "It just might work," Dr. Chappie is saying. She has sent the nurse to obtain the necessary supplies and drugs. The pump is still off. IVIGg is no longer an option once I got meningitis from it. "Plasmaphare-sis" has been discussed but we will try this small experiment first, Dr. Chappie is telling me. The nurse is returning with the bag of IV medication and Dr. Chappie is looking at me, perhaps wanting to assess my mental status or my stiffness or something else I cannot put my finger on. She is sitting in the chair next to my bed as the nurse runs the drug into the line and flicks the air bubbles into a detour and out ofthe line. "There is a danger," Dr. Chappie is saying. "Do you understand what I have told you about the danger?" I am trying to focus my eyes onto her face. |
