Show 69 Month? This voice of the perpetual asking seems floating above me. Where am I? "Do you know what season it is?" A season is snow or maybe apple blossoms. I should tell her about those possibilities. She sounds alarmed, though, and I do not want to alarm her. Maybe I could say something to comfort her. But my tongue will not budge. Has someone glued my tongue to the backs of my teeth? Why would anyone do that? "Do you know who the president of the United States is?" I want to drag my eyelids open and cannot and I want to know why this woman is asking me these odd questions. Why doesn't she know these things? Am I supposed to know all the answers? "Is it Carter?" Maybe it's Carter. "Is it Reagan?" |
