Show 90 "The nurses are worried about you. Just you," she is confiding. "But some of the doctors are saying that you're splitting the staff." I do not miss that the nurses are worried about me and some of the doctors are worried about themselves but I do not understand what it is to "split" the staff. "That means you try to get some people to be on 'your side' and to act against those who remain against you," she is saying. "They are split in how to deal with you and they argue." I do not know how to respond to this. I have simply been trying to convince Dr. Jessop to perform the appropriate company-prescribed troubleshooting protocol on the catheter and pump so I can get it fixed and go home. I am astounded that this might be considered psychologically pathological. "I've been talking with you at length for two days now," Faith is continuing, "and I'm convinced that the staff is splitting itself." I had no idea of the conversations about me that went on in my absence, outside this door. I had no idea I was even a topic of conversation outside thisroom.
