Show 132 government bias is for nursing homes. I could easily die from the lethal combination of bureaucratic fiscal stupidity and absolute medical ignorance. Lisa comes through the door with a worried look. She has received the orders from Dr. Sugi-yama. , f "Where is Dr. Jessop?" I ask. "He's out of town," she responds. "On vacation." "Who was that?" I am wanting to know. "Dr. Sugiyama is an attending." She understands my question and her eyes are avoiding mine. Unlike the interns or even the residents, the attending physicians have power. Dr. Sugiyama has the power to make good on his threat. He has the power to sentence me to death. Death by nursing home. It would not be a happy execution. I will escape this place first. I will not go to a nursing home. To do so would be to concede this trial and I am not ready to concede. Without my body receiving the proper amount of medication, it is now becoming solidly fixed in the fetal position. My feet are pulling in and under, toes curling. My legs are flexed at the knees and hips. My elbows hug my ribs and my hands are fisted |
