Major Blaine, the victim, received his death at the hands of two ruffians whom he had home as guests and at the opportune time murdered him in a manner that appeared to be suicid The killing was investigated by the village policeman and his son, who was a sleuth of Scotland Yard, and the case was pronounced one of self-destruction. However, Cynthia Blood, the Major's charming niece, studied and re-enacted the crime and suavely gained a witnessed confession from the unsuspecting murderer before he could escape. Tense scene in T.
