Show THE CHRONICLE The Utah Chronicle for 1931-32 has maintained a steady-increase in popularity as the news-organ of the campus. It has continued the size, quality of publication, and variety of news content inaugurated last year. The office facilities given to the staff in the Union Building have brought joy and enthusiasm to the hearts of the members. For the first time in the history of the University, ample office space has been given to the Chronicle Staff. No doubt this has been of great influence in the production of a finer and more professional publication. Under the direction of Earl J. Glade, Jr., editor-in-chief, the staff has endeavored to further student events, raise the level of news interest through a more appealing style of journalism, and to emphasize the feature articles. It has also cooperated with the University authorities with the result that the Chronicle is not only the news-organ of the campus, but also its mouth-piece. Difficulties in the business department hampered the paper. Harry Guss replaced Frank Jensen as Business Manager in the Winter quarter. Low finances resulted in one issue weekly.
