Show every event. Rushforth's victory came in the 120 yard hurdles where he was clocked in good time. Maxfield ran third in the same race, and also took a third in the low obstacles. Sam Bennion, former L. D. S. phenom, gave every promise of future brilliance when he pressed Hutchinson hard in both the century and furlong, coming second in the former and third in the latter. Alan Acomb ran second to one of the best first year men ever to cavort in the Young carnival, LaMar Taylor. Taylor also won the half mile, a surprise victory over Johnnie Fetzer, Utah's great little middle distance star. Hogenson placed third. Brigham Young won every event except the high hurdles. Nelson and Roberts, Aggie greenlings, gave a good account of themselves. A special feature of the meet was an exhibition in shot-putting by John Kuck, U. S. Olympic champion of 1928.
