Show Frederick Reynolds Editor THE HUMBUG The Humbug, humor magazine, has made its appearance and been duly congratulated four times during the year 1931-32. The first issue served as Hummy's introduction to the campus, the second made us Junior Prom conscious, the third issue portrayed the vivid realities of fraternity rushing, and the final copy featured exchanges. Frederick Reynolds, Jr., served his second year as Editor-in-Chief, and was even more successful than in his first year in this position. Baxter Murray and Maurice Knight, as associate editors, did their part in producing a bigger and better Humbug. Edwin Herron and Grant Midgley, the Art Staff, deserve our heartiest congratulations, for their illustrations were representative of a humor magazine. Karl Hopkins, as Business Manager, has been successful in keeping the finances connected with the magazine straight, Richard Barker and Tom J. Sawyer showed persistence in chasing ads, and Paul Madsen has been responsible for the distribution. The regular features-Around the Pump, Greek Garble, Faculty Interviews, Den of Despair, Hawl of Fame, and the Bah-Humbug Editorials, have been exceptionally good this year. In fact, the magazine as a whole has been representative of the lighter side of life at Utah. Karl Hopkins Business Manager |
