Show APPORTIONMENT BOARD The duty of the Apportionment Board is to allot justly the necessary funds for the maintenance of the several campus activities. The difficulty of the task has been increased this year because of the limitation of the finances. As a result, the members of the board have had even greater responsibility than in former years. They are to be commended for the competent manner in which they have met this problem. Before any apportionment is made to an activity, its manager must prepare an itemized budget of the estimated expenses and receipts. This report is carefully studied by the board and necessary adjustments are made. In accordance with the general executive program, the apportionments made to the various groups were reduced. Allowances were made to the following authorized activities: A. S. U. U., Athletics, Chronicle, Pen, Utonian, Humbug, Varsity Dramatics, Debating, Women's Athletic Association, Glee Clubs, Pep Band, Orchestra, other minor music groups, Master Minds Lecture Course, and Associated Women Students. The Apportionment Board this year was composed of Elbert D. Thomas, chairman; Thomas Hull, Ladru Jensen, Earl J. Glade, Earl Coppock, Reed Ellison, and Richard Mulliner. Page Thirty-six |
