Head, antenna?, and collar white; thorax and tegulae pale greyish brown ; abdomen pale brown, each segment edged with white ; the underside of the thorax, abdomen, and legs white. Primaries brown, the outer margin grey ; a reddish-brown band edged with a metallic line crosses the wing about the middle from the costal to the inner margin; a short yellowish-white band at the end of the cell. Secondaries white, broadly bordered with black from the apex to the anal angle; the fringe black and white. Expanse 1 inch. Hab. E. Somaliland: Joh, in the Haweea Country. Three specimens captured September 20, 1897. Type and co-type in the Hope Collection, co-type in the British Museum. |
