The intersegmental septa of this worm have the following arrangement :- The first septum, which is fairly thick, marks the anterior end of the anterior gizzard ; the next, also thick, the posterior end; then follows an excessively thin one. Another thin septum marks the posterior boundary of the second gizzard. After this are four closely crowded and also fairly thick septa.
