Show 1889.] LEPIDOPTERA OF JAPAN AND COREA. 481 M. divergens in another. For instance, a specimen, which as far as regards the relation of inner and outer stripes is of the divergens form, has the outer stripe regularly denticulated. Another example with most of the typical characters has the reniform quite as large as any specimen of M. divergens. The inner stripe is ill defined in some specimens, and in others it is entirely eliminated, whilst the outer stripe may or may not be denticulated ; further, the outer stripe is, in three examples, only faintly indicated and in two others is quite absent. The colour and markings of secondaries are subject to much modification on both surfaces. Expanse 48 millim. to 60 millim.
