Q You mean by high water, floods? A I mean by high water, ordinary high water, excluding floods. During June we didn't attempt so do any boating. That is the high water period. Q What portion of the year did you do the boating in? A In July and August. Q What about the earlier months of the year, you were there at various periods, at different times, you were there practically all the months of the years, weren't you? A Yes sir. Q Now, what months of the year did you navigate on it, did you go up and down the river? A I have been on the river at times in every months except June. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q When you got through down there at Good Hope, then where did you go, Mr. Rust? A I went away from the river. Q Did you go out on the river, or did you go out over-land? A I went out the same way I came in, on horseback. |
