Q Just go right ahead, and tell me about the whole trip. A Then down the canyon to Silver Creek canyon, up Silver creek to the south, up over the divide there, saved us from going around down by Ogden and Salt Lake; and down Provo river; that throwed us forty- five miles, about, south of Salt Lake. In place of going around with the cattle, we left the cattle in Spanish Fork five days, resting up, camped in the streets of Provo, and from there on through we went south, then down through -- I can't remember all them towns -- anyway, there was towns in between, through cold creek and on through by the way of Parowan, Fillmore, Round valley, and in by the way -- we missed Cedar City -- close to Cedar City, however, and in through to Mountain Meadow. At Mountain Meadow we dropped down the hill on to the Virgin, at what is known as Beaver Dam. We crossed the Virgin going down towards St. Thomas, we crossed the Virgin twenty- four times; the road used to do down and across; at St. Thomas, we laid there, rested the cattle up a couple of |
