A We got aground on that in good shape, run the boats out on the large, and had to get out and wade, walk around and hunt a way through before we could get down the river. Q Do you recollect how deep the water was over this ledge? A Well, I don't think the water -- of course, might be places in it -- wasn't looking for that -- just looking for a place through -- I don't think the water averages over that -- over sic or eight inches deep over that ledge across the river. Q For what distance dose that ledge extend across the river? A It extends from one side to the other, clear across. Q And up and down the river how far does it go? A About one hundred yards, I guess, maybe hardly that. Q Maybe what? |
