A Just a flat boat, little, flat a skiff to cross the the with, run up and down. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Where did he get the lumber to build the boat? BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Where did you get the lumber from which you built the boat? A The lumber came in from Hanksville -- came in, I think it was from Kanesville; there was a saw mill in the mountains there, that is , in the Henry mountains; there was a saw will up there; they got the lumber up there. Q Did this lumber come in by way of the river? A No, it came in overland; couldn't come in by way of the river. Q Now, how many months did you spend down there? A Claude and I went up on Red canyon; I spent eight or nine months there. Q How much work did you do on the river with this boat? A Didn't do very much work with the boat; just crossed from one side to the other to get the bars; we did use it once |
