Show 4150 McDonald- D 2170 MR. BLACKMAR: It appears this man was scotch, because he wasn't taking any chances on that trip. Q All right, when you got through down there in Glen canyon how did you get out? A Out of Glen canyon? Q Yes. A On that trip? Q Yes. A I came out with wagons and horseback; you could get a wagon in and out from Cass Hite; we finally got a wagon in down North wash. Q While you were in Glen canyon on that trip were there any other boats went up or down the river that you saw? A No sir. Q Were there any other prospectors in there other than the men you mentioned? A Yes, Hite's outfit was down below two or three miles; I saw it; might be more; never used to notice the distance, walking, so much, through there. Q Were there any dredges or other machinery in there? A Oh, no, not then; nothing of that kind the river then. Q As I understand it, you went out -- did you go out by way of Hanksville? |
