But hi the case of the former species the number of what we may there tairly term abnormal specimens was small in proportion to those winch were normal ; only 18 out of about 430. In erichceta indica the occasional absence of tbe " prostate" gland is more frequent. TRICHOCHcETA HESPERIDUM.
