Gill-rakers short, 12 on lower part of anterior arch. Dorsal X V - X V I 11-12; last spine longest, f to § length of head; middle soft rays much produced, nearly 3 times as long as last dorsal spine. Pectoral pointed, a little longer than the head, not extending to origin of anal. Ventral produced, reaching beyond origin of anal. Anal III 9; third spine shorter than longest dorsal, soft rays produced like the dorsals. Caudal feebly emarginate, the outer rays somewhat produced. Caudal peduncle as long as deep.
