Show MARY CLARK Elected CARLSON 1992 Mary Clark Carlson was born in Fresno California on July 22, 1939. The family moved to Salt Lake in 1950, where she attended Bryant Jr. High and East High School. Then she graduated from the University of Utah in 1961 with a degree in Political Science. After graduation, Rep. Carlson taught school for Midway Island, England and Arizona. seven years in California, On returning at of the U to Utah she and U entered the Graduate School of Social Work graduated in 1970. Mary married Thomas Carlson in June of 1969. He worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. After retirement in 1986 he was appointed on the Utah State Industrial Commission.
