Show MARY LORRAINE Elected JOHNSON 1973-1977 was born to James and Cora Lake Haynes on 23 When she was beautiful Hagerman Valley in Idaho. five years old, the family moved to a cattle ranch on the Maris found her River near Conrad, Montana. Her first year of school boarding with her teacher during the school year ten miles away from home. The family then moved from Conrad to the Flathead Valley and Lorraine rode the school bus five miles to Charlo, Montana. Roosevelts honor guard when she toured the Naval Security Station. In 1942, Florence Lorraine in Hotel was sworn Missoula, into the U. S. Montana. She met her husband, Ferdinand T. Johnson at a church dance. They later married on 15 May 1945 at the Navy Chapel on the N.C.A. station. Ferdinand had returned from Hawaii and was permanently stationed at N.C.A., where they stayed till the War ended. Their first child, Jacqueline Marie was born there. were Returning to the Flathead Valley in Montana, Ferd went to Graduate School, and Mary Lorraine helped on the ranch. Ferd became coach, teacher and counselor at Ronan High school, but thy soon followed LQrraines family to New Plymouth, Idaho when they sold the farm. at New Both and their taught school Plymouth and Fruitland, daughter Vicki LaRayne was born in Ontario, Oregon, the closest hospital. Ferd entered graduate school at the University of Washington, but recalled to duty when the Korean War broke out. He was assigned to Washington D. C. Lorraine al so had to 1 eave the Edison Tech ColI ege and the Que Chin School of Photography where she was studying art and photography. In 1952, they bought a home in East Riverdale, Maryland where Craig Haynes and Ginger Kae were born, completing the family. was Johnsons continually supported church activities and Lorraine did radio and TV work for the Prince George County Fair in Maryland. In 1958, they decided to move back west to be near their fami 1 ies and arri ved in Sal t Lake Ci ty on 5 August 1958. They bought a home at 464 Harvard Ave. and lived there forever more.
